Our Schöckl
You don’t visit the Schöckl, you experience the Schöckl. The local recreation area on the outskirts of Graz is looking forward to welcoming you!
The Schöckl can be reached from Semriach via the Kesselfallklamm gorge and offers recreation, enjoyment and sporting activities for everyone! At an altitude of 1436 meters, the Hexenexpress summer toboggan run, a children’s play area, the barrier-free circular trail “Wege für alle”, a disc golf course, an orienteering course, mountain bike and downhill trails, a feel-good zone, access points for paragliders and hang-gliders and 45 kilometers of hiking trails provide plenty of variety!
Schöckl cable car
The Schöckl plateau can be easily reached with a ride on the Schöckl cable car. The valley station in St. Radegund is around 15 minutes by car from the Schöcklblick. The 6-seater gondola lift then takes about 7 minutes to the top station.
Summer toboggan run Hexenexpress
For many visitors, the “Hexenexpress” summer toboggan run is the highlight of Graz’s local mountain. The summer toboggan run is 1000 meters long. At a maximum speed of 40 km/h, it goes through 7 bends and over 2 jumps. You determine the speed yourself
Disc golf course
Disc golf is a particularly interesting sport for the whole family. It combines the game with the frisbee disc and the precision of regular golf to create an exciting sporting experience in the great outdoors.

Schöckl Trail Area
The Schöckl Trai Area presents itself as a year-round Mecca for mountain bikers. Two complete gravity lines and a varied offer for touring bikers make bikers’ hearts beat faster.
Motor skills parkour
On the freely accessible fitness parkour in the great outdoors, attractive, sports-science-tested equipment invites you to exercise. Above all, however, it is enormous fun for young and old (with/without limited mobility) and is equally challenging for motor skills and sensory perception.
Sport & Leisure
Around and on the Schöckl, everyone can relax in the best air, do sport or simply enjoy nature and the wonderful panoramic views – at any time of year.
Families, children and hikers can look forward to paths, meadows and cozy and tranquil spots around the summit cross. Particularly noteworthy is the "Trail for All" - this alpine panoramic trail is equally accessible for wheelchair users and people with baby carriages.
The Schöckl is a special adventure for all cyclists, downhillers and mountain bikers.
Our own launch ramps for hang gliders and paragliders offer ideal conditions.
Other activities such as orienteering, Nordic walking, "three in a row", "heaven and hell" and forest boccia round off the wide range of activities on offer.
